Haiku Friday - Gas Prices

Up/down. Mostly up.

The price of gas is starting

to irk me but good.

Speculators? Why

does simply talking about

the price make it rise??

Here's the solution:

STOP TALKING ABOUT IT! Duh.

The problem is fixed.

Amen!

I think if they stopped talking about how bad the economy was, people would start spending money again.

I used to complain about the price of gas until last week when my sweet husband got a job with a gas company that has profit-based bonuses. I'd like to see them come down a bit, but not too much....we're trying to buy a new house.

It really is sad and scary to see gas prices what they are, especially as it translates into more expensive everything, like groceries. If paychecks aren't going up but gas to get to work is too much, how do some even afford the higher cost of groceries. Scary times. Nicely haiku'd, though!

People seem to for-
get. It's not just gas that's up.
What about plastics?

Yeah, see, everyone wants to relinquish foreign oil's hold on us and we're all scrambling to find alternative fuels for our cars. What about all the plastics we use? EVERY-FRIGGIN'-WHERE? Plastic is a petroleum derivative.

Drives me nuts that we're only focusing on one thing.
